Our Mission

The mission of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who are equipped to serve their community and advance God’s Kingdom

Our Vision

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church envisions a multi-generational church that is biblically grounded, vision-led, and forward moving; cultivating a culture where disciples grow, leaders are developed, innovation is welcomed, and the community is transformed through the love of Christ.

Core Values

Biblical Truth. We are grounded in Scripture and committed to spiritual growth through God’s Word.

Disciple-Making. We exist to make disciples who live out and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Purposeful Leadership. We develop and empower people to serve according to their God-given gifts and calling.

Inclusive Community. We are a multi-generational church where all people are welcomed, valued, and connected.

Restoration & Hope. We believe God restores lives and leads people toward wholeness and new life in Christ.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation for our faith, teaching, and daily living. (2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:20–21)

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three expressions: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things and is sovereign, holy, and loving. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19)

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again with all power, offering salvation to all who believe. (John 1:1, Romans 5:8)

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works, but results in a transformed life. (Ephesians 2:8–9, Romans 10:9–10)

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, empowering us to live godly lives, grow in faith, serve with purpose; and gives gifts to believers for the spreading of the gospel and the building of the church. (Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22–23)

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, and share the Gospel with the world. (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:42–47)

We believe in baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, and in the Lord’s Supper as a sacred time of remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. Both model the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

We believe every believer is called to live a life of faith, obedience, and love, reflecting the character of Christ in both word and action. (Colossians 3:17, James 1:22)
